Why It Matters

Across our region, rising living costs, housing stress, and ongoing recovery challenges mean more people are struggling to put food on the table.

At the same time, good food is going to waste.

Feeding Futures bridges that gap - reducing food waste while increasing access to healthy food for those who need it most.

What We Do

Feeding Futures combines practical solutions with community action:

🥕 Food Relief

We provide food hampers, meals, and emergency food support to hundreds of local people every week.

​

❄️ Food Storage & Rescue

Our new cool room and freezer allow us to safely store more fresh and frozen food, accept more donations, and reduce waste.

​

🍲 Community Cooking Program

Local people come together to prepare meals for the community.

We work with:

• Schools

• Sporting clubs

• Businesses

• Community groups

• Volunteers

to cook and distribute meals to those doing it tough.

🚐 Mobile Food Bank

As part of Feeding Futures, we’ve taken our support on the road.

We’ve converted our bus into a mobile food bank, creating a flexible and accessible way to reach more people across our region.

On set days and times, we travel to surrounding communities to provide food hampers directly to those who need them, bringing food relief closer to people who may not be able to access our site in Echuca.

This initiative helps to:

• Improve access for rural and isolated communities

• Reduce barriers like transport and distance

• Provide consistent, reliable food support
